The correct option is 1.

Erode means ‘gradually wear away.’  It doesn't make sense in this sentence. The correct word is ‘abrogate.’ Abrogate means ‘repeal or do away with (a law, right, or formal agreement).’ This perfectly fits the sentence. 

Retrograde means ‘directed or moving backward.’

Interrogate means ‘ask questions of (someone) closely, aggressively, or formally.’ 

Both these words don't fit in the context of the sentence.
