Average runs of player S = 52

Strike rate of player S = 160

Let the total runs of player S = x

Average = Total runs/Total number of matches

Number of matches of player S = x/52

Strike rate = (Total runs/Total balls faced) × 100

Total balls faced by Players P, Q and T = (1000 + 1050 + 1200) = 3250

Balls faced by player S = 24% of 3250 = 0.24 × 3250 = 780 balls

Putting the value in strike rate equation,

160 = (x/780) × 100

⇒ x = (160 × 78)/10

⇒ x = 1248 runs

Number of match played by S = Total runs/Average

⇒ 1248/52

⇒ 24

∴ Required answer = 24
