Let the total distance between Aligarh and Delhi be X.

Since the trains are traveling in opposite directions, relative speed = 14 + 21 = 35 kmph

Time after which the trains meet = X/35

Distance travelled by the first train = 14 × X/35 = 2X/5

Distance travelled by the second train = 21 × X/35 = 3X/5

3X/5 – 2X/5 = 70

⇒ X = 350
