The following sentences form a paragraph, where the last sentence of the paragraph is given. The rest are numbered as P, Q, R, S, T and U. These sentences are not given in their proper order. Read the sentences and choose the alternative that arranges them in correct order.

P. The significant changes in the structure of European society that took place during that time were considered the direct result of Europe's participation in the Crusades.

Q. This view no longer holds as strongly as it once did.

The first sentence of a paragraph usually introduces a topic. They should be of independent meaning. Here, only U shows independent meaning.

So, U must be the first sentence.$

The second sentence provides more information about the first. Here, P gives more information about the crusades, also referring them by teh pronoun 'that', connecting it to the first.

So, P must be the seond sentence.

 The order UP is shown by both options 1 and 4. So, we must find the next sentence.

The third sentence must be related to the first two. This is only shown by Q, as it talks about the view expressed by the first two sentences.

So, Q is the third sentence.

The order UPQ is only given by option 4.

Therefore, the correct answer is option 4.
