Let the original speed of train be X km/hr

∴ changed speed of train = 7X/11 km/hr

We know that, distance traveled = speed × time taken

⇒ Total distance traveled by train$(= \;\frac{{7X}}{{11}}\; \times \;22\; = \;14X)$

If train travels with its original speed-

∴ Time taken to travel = (total distance)/(speed of train)

⇒ Time taken to travel with regular speed = 14X/X = 14 hrs

∴ time saved = 22 – 14 = 8 hours
