I. 2a2 + 388a = 0

⇒ 2a(a + 194) = 0

Then, a = 0 or a = (-194)

II. 4b2 ?– 144b = 0

⇒ 4b(b – 36) = 0

Then, b = 0 or b = 36

So, when a = 0, a = b for b = 0 and a < b for b = 36

And when a = (-194), a < b for b = 0 and a < b for b = 36

∴ we can observe that a ≤ b.
