A’s work is twice as B’s work 

So, we can consider 2A = B 

Then, A × 2A/ A+ 2A = 14 

2A × A/ 3A = 14 

2 A = 14 × 3 

A = 21 days. i.e. A alone can finish the work in 21 days.
