Solution :
Let us take Rahul's age as $'x'$ and Sumit's age as $'y'$.
It is given that, $x = 3 y$
It is also given that $x = 15$ then,
$3 y = 15$
$y = 15 /3 $
$y = 5$
So, Sumit's present age is $5$ years.
Sumit's age after $12$ years will be $( y + 12 ) = 5 + 12 = 17$
The correct option is 4). 17
