The correct answer is option 4.

Option 2 is incorrect because it uses the structure ‘as though’ which means ‘as would be the case if’. Clearly, it gives a contradiction in the given sentence.

Option 2 gives a comparison but the given sentence makes no comparison.

Option 3 is grammatically incorrect because it gives us a disconnected sentence in terms of meaning.

The meaning of the sentence is that, despite her work being good, he criticizes her. This is conveyed correctly by the given sentence, hence it needs no change.
