Let, B can do the work in = x days

∴ 1 day’s work of B = 1/x

A can do a piece of work in = 20 days

∴ 1 day’s work of A = 1/20

According to problem,

$( \Rightarrow \frac{4}{{20}} + \frac{{28}}{x} = 1)$ 

$( \Rightarrow \frac{{4x + 560}}{{20x}} = 1)$ 

⇒ 20x = 4x + 560

⇒ 16x = 560

⇒ x = 35

∴ B alone can do the whole work in = 35 days
