Work done by A in 1 day is 1/12th of the total work

Work done by B in 1 day is 1/24th of the total work

According to the problem statement, work left can be given as

⇒ 1 - 4 × (1/12 + 1/24)

⇒ 1 - ½ = ½

∴ The ½ of the total work will be left
