Why is SEBI known as a quasi-legislative organization?
1). SEBI can take any investor to the court of law over any violation of its codes. 
2). SEBI is responsible for all kinds of securities related disputes resolution in the country. 
3). SEBI can draft regulations regarding the capital market of the country. 
4). SEBI can give judgments regarding any dispute arising out of the securities issuance in the capital market.

SEBI is the regulator of the securities market in India. It is known as a quasi-legislative body since it can draft regulations regarding the operational guidelines of the capital market in the country.
