The age of Ravi is twice the age of Prakash and three times the age of Kumar. If the age of Prakash is 24 years, then what will be the age of Kumar after 4 years ?
1). 16 years
2). 20 years
3). 24 years
4). 22 years
Let us take Ravi's age as 'x' , Prakash's age as 'y' and Kumar's age as 'z'.
It is given that,
x = 2y and ----------------> 1
x = 3z ----------------> 2
Given : y = 24
So, substituting the value of y in 1 we get
x = 48
Substituting the value of x in 2 we get
3z = 48
z = 48/3
z = 16
So, Kumar's age is 16 and after 4 years Kumar's age would be 20 (16 + 4)
Hence the correct option is 2).20
